The study tries to look at one’s “self development” and to investigate “the dialogue and transformation of multi-selves” from the viewpoint of narrative-construction. Self-narrative data from historical literature is used to clarify its context, and empathy is employed to construct Chu Kuang-Chien’s life story to express our current understanding of him. The study then further analyses Chu Kuang-Ch’ien’s life story and discourses “the dialogue and transform of multi-selves about Chu Kuang-Ch’ien.” The results revealed the change of multi-sleves is closely related to Chu Kuang-Ch’ien’s sociocultural and historical context.
